Rob is a leading figure in civil engineering with over 30 years of project experience, including 20 years in construction programming, design, and estimating. As a Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, Rob established MI Engineers over 30 years ago. He is also the founder and director of Benchmark Estimating Software, Roadworks Estimator, and Roadworks Strategic Manager.

Salvatore is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience managing multi-billion-dollar projects across the transport, water, utilities and defence sectors. Before founding his consulting firm, ProSynergy, he held senior leadership roles, including Partner at KPMG Australia, as well as key positions at Jacobs, Aquenta Consulting and Tenix (now Downer). Salvatore specialises in project controls, PMO, risk management, and commercial strategy. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Oxford University, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Amy-Ruth brings extensive knowledge and experience to her role as Executive Director, having joined the MacDonald Group of companies in 2005. Before assuming her current position, she served as CEO for several years and held key roles such as Project Director and Strategic Relationships Manager on mega-projects like WestConnex in NSW, as well as various other large-scale projects across Australia and the UK.

Mark is MI Engineers' Chief Engineer, leading our UK office. He joined MI Engineers from a Tier 1 designer in 2009. Mark’s extensive skills and knowledge have been instrumental in the company’s growth into a leader in cost engineering for infrastructure projects. His commitment to quality in every project ensures that our team consistently meets and exceeds client expectations.

Gayathri is a seasoned estimating and quantity surveying professional with over 20 years of experience in major infrastructure projects in Australia. She has a proven track record in cost estimation, risk analysis, and project cost control across all design stages. Gayathri is a chartered engineer, MIEAUST CPENG, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), a Diploma of Project Management, a Diploma in AutoCad and is affiliated with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers and the Australian Cost Engineering Society.

Gillian is based in our UK office and brings over 25 years of global experience in the commercial management of infrastructure projects. She is a highly experienced cost and commercial expert of complex infrastructure projects, specialising in commercial management, estimating and risk management. Throughout her career, Gillian has successfully managed teams on cost and contract commissions across a wide variety of projects including rail, road, power and water.

Mat has been with MI Engineers since 2008 and has risen to his current position of Cost Engineering Manager. Based in the UK, Mat has managed teams producing cost estimates for major infrastructure schemes for the company’s clients. He has overseen the successful delivery of commissions for National Highways under the Cost Planning Service Provider framework. Mat is committed to quality and best practices in all his work.

With over 30 years of senior engineering experience, Malcolm brings extensive knowledge to major infrastructure projects. He has managed road infrastructure projects in Australia and overseas, specialising in earthworks, materials management, and constructability. His expertise secured him a key role on the RMS Constructability Panel, where he facilitates workshops and reviews tender documents.

Andrew is a cost management professional with a civil engineering background and brings over 13 years of experience in major infrastructure projects. Andrew brings expertise in end-to-end cost management services from strategic planning through to post-contract delivery, ensuring accurate forecasting, robust budgeting, and value driven decision making. With a focus on first principles estimating and constructability insights, Andrew helps clients navigate complex project challenges, optimise delivery outcomes, and drive cost efficiency.

Jeffrey is a chartered engineer with over 13 years of experience, including a decade in delivery roles such as Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer on major projects like Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Light Rail, and Sydney Water rehabilitation programs. Skilled in Primavera P6 and Deltek Acumen, he has worked extensively with government and private organisations including TfNSW, National Intermodal, Sydney Trains, Sydney Water, Ausgrid, Melbourne Water, Stocklands, and the Cities of Sydney and Parramatta.

Craig is an experienced estimating and risk professional with over 18 years of experience in major infrastructure projects in Australia. Craig’s risk expertise encompasses assessment, analysis, quantification and management. This includes performing statistical analysis using @RISK specialist software in determining estimates to different levels of accuracy (e.g. P50, P90). Craig is a chartered Cost Engineer, MIEAUST CPENG, and is a member of the Australian Cost Engineering Society. Craig works extensively with Roads & Transport and other Government Authorities and their consultants in the delivery of estimating and risk services for large-scale infrastructure projects.
