Maitland to Whittingham Third Track
The project consisted of a 43km upgrade of the Hunter rail line between Maitland and Whittingham to increase the capacity, reliability and performance of the Hunter region’s coal transportation network.
MIEngineers was engaged to provide Risk Analysis/Management Services as part of our client’s Independent Estimating Team.
In addition to this, MIEngineers provided cost estimations to the independent estimate as well as risk. The analysis of risk involved organising and facilitating risk workshops with appropriate project team members.
MIEngineers assisted our client in achieving a probabilistic estimate and a robust project budget. It also alerted the client team to significant project risks as a result of insufficient time to undertake the construction based on their anticipated programme. This enabled them to adjust the programme to mitigate these risks.
