Pacific Highway Upgrade - Woolgoolga to Glenugie

The Project
26.3km upgrade of existing single carriageway to dual carriageways between Woolgoolga and Glenugie in two sections, each approximately 13km long, including multiple standard form bridges, soft soil treatments and contaminated ground treatments. The project also included a design and construct component for a heavy vehicle inspection station.

- Preparation of contract documents, quantity take-offs and schedules

- Independent peer review of detailed estimates throughout the design process, with separate peer reviews conducted for each of the estimates prepared for Section 1 & Section 2 based on detailed design drawings
- Assessment and advice on high-level risks involving identification of likely key risks associated with the project based on the level of design, location and reliability of underlying data
- Facilitation of multiple risk workshops
- Constructability reviews
This project also required the development of specific Utilities Relocation (G7) and Earthworks (R44) specifications which involved intensive consultation with RMS and their designers to understand the technical and commercial requirements of the works. This then translated into modifications to the RMS model documents for each of these specifications.
